left wrist top: spacedust, my dads signature
left wrist bottom: i looked to the sky and thought of you as blue
right wrist top: 14/8/2010
right wrist bottom: i felt that you were herethe meaning i guess isn’t so obvious?
my dad was taken from cancer on “14/8/2010”. he told me something on the day he found out that he wasn’t going to make it, and that was “don’t grow up mad at the world. some start out as spacedust, and that’s how they end up. we’re so lucky to be alive, no matter how long it’s for.”
on the bottoms of my wrists are simply lyrics from the gazette song okuribi. the lyrics fit everything i went through all too well, and they remind me that my dad is all around me wherever i go.
